Accounts deleted due to new patch

Dear GMs and players,

Well, I guess it goes without saying that many of us (in fact almost every player) have spent much of our times amassing wealth and awaking equipment and the fury that I feel from this ridiculous account wipe has not abated. I doubt there is anything that can be done, now that the accounts are already wiped, but I personally do not feel up to restarting my characters and find that everything I have done in this server to be an absolute waste of time.

The way this was executed was beyond infuriating and showed a lack of organisation on the part of the GMs and to spring this so suddenly and arbitrarily shows an utter lack of respect toward players. I was in the middle of leveling with a leech when I was suddenly cut off.

Never mind the number of accounts that ranged in the 10 000s and the amount of effort players put in making them. Forget the effort and time it took for players to awake 120% ICD and more on a single piece of equipment and trying again and again to get that infuriatingly difficult +20 on that champ ring. Forget the amount of haggling and convincing players had to do to get their items and forget the previous days, weeks and even months of work it took for players to get to level 230+ and the amount of time they spent grinding in Upresia 1 and 2. Never mind warning the players before and offering a recompense for having done this and forget giving one, a simple message on the website stating: 'I'm sorry, but we (GMs) feel it is time to start anew (...why?- glitches are your problem to fix- deleting our accounts is akin to saying that you neither have the time nor the desire to help) and we appreciate your understanding (too bad, so sad, we get to do what we want because this is our server - true and I am not accusing you of doing something wrong; it is self-evident)'(Oh, and do not forget the lowering of the rates which seems to be our recompense- a good thing and no one would ever contest that, I mean is it not obvious that everyone wants the rates to be lowered?-).

Okay. I'm going to stop my rant here. I think I have vented enough and it serves no further purpose to continue (I'll never run out of steam: Pets that we upgrade and reupgraded and so on and so forth...). On a certain level I can almost understand what was done, but the more I think about it and the more I look at it, I just don't. I doubt I will ever come back to this server and maybe if I do I'll rage level a character up a few levels, but eventually I'll pause and realize that everywhere I look in this server, I see the remnants of my old characters and their awesomeness and the time/effort it took me to do it (and the pride in those fabulous awakes that I have no doubt is shared by my fellow players). Faced with that, I feel no enthusiasm or joy in playing in this server. In effect, this server is spoiled for me; restarting is fine, the reason why I switch from eflyff to a pserver, but I do it so that I can start anew with no past memories (something I can no longer say for this server). Many of the other players are far more tolerant than me on these aspects and may brush it aside and restart. I applaud you and wish you the best of luck and I hope you never have to face this again.

On a parting note, to my fellow players (I remember some having just managed to buy some truly superb items and I pass you my condolences for not being able to use them) I wish you luck and the best and hope that you quickly get back what you have lost.

P.S. To the GMs, you might want to make sure that this never happens again without prior warning and recompense - deleting accounts like this should be a last resort -. I have played in a few pservers before and never have I had my character deleted. It is a novel and disturbing experience.

ikr..... wasting time on upgrading...MONEY and item all gone
